One of the best beaches on Maui, Kamaole I, is 50 yards away, so Ili Ili is quiet 24/7 but the beach is a convenient walk. RentalsMaui is well run and responsive. We have had almost no issues with the property and most people will be satified; it is not a luxury property but is well maintained. You get a private parking place (best for compact vehicles but a van will fit) in a gated lot on the property and it is safe for older kids or younger kids who swim; there is a deep pool on site. No bug problems, ocasional tiny ants if you don't keep the kitchen spotlessly clean at all times. Shopping is convenient. Price is appropriate. PERFECT BEACH GETAWAY Debra T. from Reno, NV Stayed 9 days in September, 2012 This unit was better than the pictures could show. It's right on the beach, attractively decorated and very private. We felt that we were completely alone in our beach getaway. We went with another couple and the size of the unit was perfect for the 4 of us. The pool and spa were very clean and we were able to use them and still have a wonderful view of the beach. The property managers were very nice to work with and actually let us drop our luggage off at the unit earlier than the check in time. They met us at the property and gave us a tour and instructions on parking, gate codes etc. Toni even gave us her personal cell phone number in case we had questions or problems. This is definitely the best vacation rental in Maui, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when we come back. It was like meeting a friend you haven't seen in a while. We could not have asked for a better location. The beach was 2 minutes walk to the left, the surfing cove was five minutes walk to the right, and the rocks, reefs, sea life and turtles were straight in front of the property. There are a lot of places that are beautiful in Maui but you know you are in a special one when the local photographers bring families, wedding parties to the rocks in front of the unit to take pictures. So people watching was pretty good from the lanai as well. Loved the place and we would stay there again upon our next trip. The location is right on the beach yet still feels private and quiet. The waves and birds lull you to sleep each night. In the morning, coffee on the lanai helps you get going for a day of fun. The location is perfect - easy driving to all the local towns and sights. Kathy is fantastic, making sure the kitchen is well equipped and that things are running smoothly. The pool is the perfect temp, nice and clean. The beds are comfy, plenty of towels and conveniences. Great beach goodies like chairs and towels made it so easy to skip out in the morning and find your spot on the beach in the cove just below. Keep an eye out for turtles -we saw a ton at the lower end of the beach. We had such a great time that we've decided to make this a yearly family vacation spot. There is gated access to the property, with parking. It's an upstairs unit, so that's quiet, too. Privacy is very good. The unit has been partially remodeled -- the two baths, which are good. It has a lanai (balcony) with spectacular view. Management is very responsive if a problem arises. I recommend this property for families with school age children or two couples who are not party minded in the condo. The internet is 7mbps, adequate but weak on uploading. Chose This One! A guest from Burnaby, BC Stayed 14 days in August, 2011 Having rented Hale Ili Ili #C for two weeks in August, my husband, myself and two kids were very comfortable and happy in this unit and with it's location. It is located just off of S. Kehei road and it is therefore located in a very quiet location. Right on the Charley Young beach, we could walk out off of the property and directly onto the super clean and quiet beach. The grocery store was walking distance. The kitchen was well stocked and all appliances, including the washer/dryer, were in excellent working condition. The unit was spacious and I love that it is one of a four condo unit. Very private and very quiet. The complex even has it's own private pool that we enjoyed every day. The beds were comfortable and the unit was tidy and very clean. We had a great stay and this is absolutely the place that we will rent again when we return to Maui. Kathy was a fantastic property manager and we had no issues whatsoever. Kihei is a diamond in the rough on Maui offering an outstanding Hawaiian experience without all the tourist concentration and higher costs. The beaches are the best on the island, and the views from this 2nd story condo are beyond words. The sound of the small waved lapping ont he rocks below made for the best nights sleep in memory. My only suggestion, and it is minor, is that the condo include a bit more stock of consummable paper products. We ran low on napkins, toilet paper, & paper towels and thought there should have been more available as part of the furnished condo. Kathy was responsive to bring us 1 additonal roll of paper, which got us through the amazing week we had there. The only question is how soon can we return. we Loved this place. Great Stay A guest from Coquitlam,, BC Stayed 7 days in July, 2010 We stayed at this property with three adults and a teenager and found plenty of room and were very comfortable. 180 degree views along the South Coast of Maui including a front seat for the sunset every night. The property was clean, a two minute walk through park to the beach, a five minute walk to shops in Kihei, and well situated for most out of the house adventures. The property is well and professionally managed and we had no problems at all with the stay or booking process. The property is one of four units with gated private parking (felt very secure and safe). Some of the units are not rented, so if you are thinking of noisy parties (which we were not) then think somewhere else. All in all, based on our experience and a tour through the guestbook, this is a great choice for a stay in Maui.
