Beautiful location, and view.

We had a wonderful vacation and the only problem was that it was too short. The sunsets from the condo's lanai were amazing, as were the moon rises. The condo was well equipped and generally comfortable... the mattress in the bedroom is very soft (and not great if your back needs a hard surface as mine does). The grounds are well kept and you can walk to Times Market (used to be called Star Market) and Azeka Place Shopping Center which has a number of shops and many good restaurants. It's an easy drive to Makena Beach (formerly known as Big Beach), and I highly recommend you spend a day or two there. The condo has beach chairs, beach towels, 4 boogie boards, so you're all set... we did need to buy a cheap sterofoam ice chest... but they are just $5 at Times Market. The bbqs on either side of the building work great (gas) and it's a nice way to meet other guests as you bbq together. The fish (Ahi) at Times market is incredibly fresh, so save yourselves some money and bbq a night or two. We did every night except one. The condo is perfect for a couple or a couple with one or two kids. The bedroom does not have door but is separated from the living room by the kitchen and bath. Probably not suitable for two couple (unless you are very close). We would definitely go back to this condo.

Beautiful location, very peaceful and relaxing! Love it!

If you are looking for a great and inexpensive place to stay - this is it. Don't be fooled by the "older" look of the place. The condo has undergone some updating and really had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to bbq for dinner or have a quiet breakfast on the lanai.

The location of the property is great! We loved having our meals on the balcony with the waves 20 feet away. The condo was clean, nice furniture, spotless kitchen. Very, very happy we went with it. The beach as I said only feet away, and pretty shallow for about 10-15 feet in, though a bit rocky in some places. Kids LOVED being in the water. Vert relaxing and calm, and I know because we moved to a resort for the second half of our stay. Wish we would've spend the whole time at the condo.

We spent 17 glorious days in Maui and really enjoyed our stay at HKOK. Could have used a phone though. Everything in the condo worked well. Spent more days away from condo but, nice to come back every night to a beautiful sunset (right from our balcony) and prepare our own meals thus saving us a great deal of money. Prepared lunches for our day trips saving even more money. The extras in the condo really helped - beach chairs, hair dryer, storage containers, beach umbrella, body boards, fans, radio, satellite TV, microwave, extra pillows, blankets and beach towels and linens. As other have stated the condo is not conducive to two couples (unless you are really close) because it is more like a studio apartment (no separate wall for bedroom) but, good for kids to sleep on couch bed. The price is perfect for one couple anyway with plenty of room. Would recommend this condo to anyone going to Maui. Central to everything and one block from grocery store (as well as mall).

Everything was above our expectations. We would love to return soon.

The Unit was not 5 star - but for the price it was good in many ways. The location was wonderful and being off S. Kehei Rd. was very quiet. The furniture was modest but very adequate. As the Unit did not have a seperate walled off bedroom it would not be good for other than 1 couple. It is close to the water so you can hear the surf - and being on the 2nd floor the view of the water and surf is wonderful.
