When you book a Maui Vacation, how do you plan to fill up your travel itinerary? Once you secure an oceanfront vacation rental by taking advantage of our specials, discovering the different things to do is the fun part of planning a Hawaii vacation getaway! And if you are looking for a unique way to experience Maui, then we recommend you tap into the local culture some and check out an upcoming show this Spring titled Women Poets of Oceania.

Slated to kick off on April 23, the Women Poets of Oceania Showcase will occur at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s McCoy Studio Theater starting at 7:30 p.m. Here you will learn and explore the history of Polynesian culture as told with a cast from all over, including Samoa, the Marshall Islands, Fiji, and Hawaii. This unique, once-and-a-lifetime performance will occur as a multi-media, spoken-word piece highlighting the Pacific in contemporary times.

This Maui event will be starring a performance by “She Who Dies to Live,” directed by Lyz Soto. It will be co-presented with the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center’s Culture Lab. Tickets are on sale for $28 with10 percent discount for Maui Arts and Cultural Center members while kids under the age of 12 will be half-price. Tickets are on sale now so check it out.

We hope you enjoy learning about the culture out here through this expected-to-be amazing performance. While staying in the islands is fun for all the ocean activities, exploration opportunities, places to eat, dance, and to be joyful, it’s also a great chance to learn more about the world we live in and the people that make it up. That is why we support this event and hope you do too.

In the meantime, if you require a rental this Spring for your vacation, then we can help you there. Make sure to contact us and one of our friendly agents will get in touch with you right away. We cannot wait to welcome you to the islands and hope you have a wonderful experience with us at one of our rentals. Have a great rest of the workweek and start planning your vacation today. Aloha!
