Starting on the South Side of the island closest to Rentals Maui properties is Akamai. Akamai started out in Kahului as a “to-go” coffee truck in the Home Depot parking lot at 100 Pakaula Street. However, Akamai’s coffee became so popular, they recently opened up a second location in Kihei town. You’ll find Akamai Coffee at 1325 S Kihei Road. The cafe is beautiful, has comfortable seating, lots of green plants and a very laid back atmosphere. Akamai’s coffee is 100% locally roasted.
Maui Coffee Roasters
In Central Maui, Maui Coffee Roasters is a spot where you’ll see regulars having their morning coffee with a newspaper or chatting with friends. Maui Coffee Roasters is eclectic. The walls are covered in various posters and paintings, there is even a surfboard mounted on the wall! Maui Coffee Roasters offers 100% locally roasted coffee, including Kona Coffee, blends and Hawaiian Flavored Coffee. The Hawaiian Flavored Coffee is incredibly unique. Maui Grown Coffee Company
MauiGrown Coffee Company is perfect when you’re on the West Side of the island. MauiGrown Coffee gets its beans from the 500-acre Kaanapali estate farms. The coffee shop is located next to the Lahaina Smokestack in a quaint green house. MauiGrown Coffee Company grows several varieties of Arabica coffee. The store sells the famous trade marked “Maui Mokka” in addition to other varietals. You can also sample coffees to find your favorite flavor. Visit MauiGrown at 277 Lahainaluna Road.
