Christmas is almost here, so do you know what that means? It’s time to shop! If you’re on vacation during this special holiday season and are looking on picking up gifts and goodies for loved ones back at home, you might want to take a short drive from your South Maui condo for rent and spend the day checking out the many amazing stores. Here are a few suggestions on where to shop in Wailea or along the island’s south shore during your next stay in the Valley Isle. So take out a pen and paper and start planning your shopping excursion with us right now!

First stop is The Shops at Wailea. Located in the heart of the Wailea Resort area, “the shops” as the locals refer to it is home to more than 70 stores and restaurants. With luxury brands to choose from and prestigious art for purchase, you may not even need to wander anywhere else for your souvenir shopping. You may want to pick up a new pair of shoes from The Walking Company and a shirt for your husband at Tommy Bahama. But in the event that you couldn’t find it all at this one location, keep driving as there are a few more places worth exploring.

Next up we have the fan-favorite Kihei Kalama Village. This outdoor shopping area is perfect for picking up gifts that will embody the essence of your trip. Looking for made on Maui gifts? They have that here. Or what about an ukulele? They have that too! This unique shopping location is full of local vendors who can help you pick out that perfect little something to remind you of your stay on Maui.

If you have made it through the Kalama Village and still haven’t found that perfect gift from Maui, just cruise the street through Kihei and keep your eyes peeled for the many hole-in-the-wall stores along the way. There’s also an outlet shopping area right off the highway with a variety of clothing, shoes, and accessories to sift through. Or you might just want to hele (go) on over to the Rainbow Mall and the Azeka Shopping Center for one last look.

Enjoy your day of shopping on Maui’s south shore and Happy Holidays!
